Guilty Gear 2 Overture Characters

Sol's student and the illegitimate son of Ky Kiske and The Maiden of the Grove, a Gear woman who was recently confirmed to be Dizzy. He travels with Sol due to his Gear nature,. Sol is more of a father figure to him than anyone else, even his biological father Ky. Sin deeply resents and hates his father for not being there for him after he was crowned King of Illyria.

Ky gave him very little, if any, attention, making their relationship very distant. All of the attention was given to him by his mother. Because of his very fast growth rate, he was placed in Sol's care for the discovery of his existence will endanger his life. Since he was raised under Sol (and no thanks to his surprisingly young age), Sin is very hotheaded and charges into things without a second thought. This trait ends up getting him kidnapped and brainwashed by Valentine to serve her. The brainwashing fuels his desire to surpass his master, and increases his rage towards Ky. He is eventually beaten out of his condition by Sol, and continues to fight Valentine's Justice form.

When Valentine attempts to self-destruct the gate to the Backyard, Sin is forced outside the gate by Sol., it's shown that he's now trying to mend the broken relationship with his father while awaiting for the recovery of his mother, deciding to take it slowly and continue to train under Sol.: Justified.: With Ky, opening mission 16.:.: Shares a human army with Ky.: Ky is his father, and Dizzy is his mother (which makes Justice his Grandmother (and by extension, ). If Sol is really Dizzy's dad, then that makes him his grandfather. He's essentially all the main characters rolled into one.:. Also, nobody in the kingdom knows that he actually existed.: He IS Ky's son, after all.: Brainwashed by Valentine, and all too happy to kill the heroes. Sol had other ideas.: That reason was having a king of a newly-formed nation for a father, which naturally took up a lot of Ky's time when Sin was (quickly) growing up.

There is a cast of six playable characters in Guilty Gear 2: Overture who are your “Commanders”. As well as two other characters featured in the.

A jovial fox spirit created in the Backyard. He lives in (and was previously exiled to) a pocket dimension of the Backyard called the 'Yomotsu Hirasaka' or Underworld Hill in English. He first appears to Sol and Sin when they are first attacked by Valentine's servants. Izuna doesn't usually fight, but then reveals that he can fight perfectly well and has much knowledge of magic, much to Sol's annoyance. Like Anji, he appears to be fond of getting information.: His Youkais.: Very easygoing and fun to be around.: His Nekomatas.: He can hold his own perfectly well.: Loves doing accents, especially of Elvis.: Can also be classified as a.: He's a fox spirit, after all.: He single handedly teaches Sol and Sin Overture's gameplay.: He and his faction. The leader of a group of animal-type Gears on a remote island called Ganymede. Paradigm is a bird dragon-like Gear who is a brilliant strategist and tactician who also has an immense knowledge of magic.

He hates humans at first for their treatment of Gears, but then realizes that not all when he allies with Ky, who makes him the ambassador for Gears in the end.: His Gears.: He even has his own magic scrapbook.: He and Ky show up with an army in tow to bail out Sol's party.: His reaction when Ky Kiske declared his love for the frozen maiden, which is the Key Valentine is searching for, the backup of Justice and a powerful Gear who's supposed to be dead. His brain seemingly suffered stroke when the king also revealed he and his lover are Sin's parents.: His thoughts at first.: For the last time, it's dragon!.: He's capable of high level magic that even Sol can't do, but he has the smallest health in the roster of Overture.: His gameplay is strange in that he doesn't physically attack you, but he hurls boulders at you. The of Guilty Gear 2: Overture. She is obsessed with obtaining a certain 'Key' that will allow her to enter the Backyard and cause the undoing of the universe. She is completely emotionless, and has eerily robotic mannerisms. She kidnaps and brainwashes Sin for a short period before extracting his DNA, and enters the Backyard.

Sol stops the process of the Key turning by destroying it, which causes her to feel her first emotion:. After her transformations, Sol kills her, but not before realizing that she is a clone of Aria, Sol's previous lover.despite the fact that she has a small chest.: Shares an undead-ish army with Raven.: There's a whole lot of her in there, too.

Removal[edit]

Just took out a false rumor about players not being able to play online internationally.

Vandalism?[edit]

I'm a new user who sometimes checks this page out to keep up with with info about the game. And I keep finding that somebody keeps editing the article to show an unconfirmed/rumored/false list of Voice Actors, as well as changing biographical info about the characters. Is there any way to restrict access to editing the page or to ban the editor? GranFinale (talk) 21:40, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that guy has been vandalizing articles for a couple of years now (under different IPs).. If he gets blocked (and I hope he does), he'll probably come back with a new IP.. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 23:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

That Man[edit]

You know, I've never really considered the character of That Man to be 'the antagonist of the series'; it seemed to me that it varied from game to game, with Justice and I-No fulfilling that role for Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear XX, respectively, and Guilty Gear X didn't really have one at all. Yes, Baiken has a vendetta agaist him, but from what I've seen, he's never actually done anything that warrants the label of 'villainy', and if anything, he seems to have been mostly opposed to the actions of the characters who were definite villains. I think he warrants a better description in this article. —Yar Kramer (talk) 15:16, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

That Man Antagonist: Guilty Gear Freaks 'belief'[edit]

Sorry I had no intenion of corrupting anything on That Man. I made the mistake of thinking of him as the antaganist of Guilty Gear when as you say he really isn't bad. So again sorry.

Oh I edited Sol's profile aswell and Ky's gameplay. I also added imformation on the demo that I experianced myself and made comparisons to the real game.Gamestop now has the game for reserve so I updated the release time for U.S. but feel free to erase if you like. I don't mind at all about what happens to my work sense I am the Guilty Gear Freak I love playing GG and learning more.

Can you tell me how to keep the gameplay picture I added on it seems to have been deleted. If not tell me why it was. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guilty Gear Freak (talk • contribs) 19:05, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Nope, it was deleted all the way. The reason was because it didn't fully comply with the Image use policy; according to the deletion log, it says 'Speedy deleted per (CSD I6), was an image with fair use tag but no fair use rationale for more than seven days.' If you want to upload it again, you have to specify why it's acceptable to use it in Wikipedia. Screenshots of video games are technically non-free content. —Yar Kramer (talk) 19:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

New info for Overture[edit]

I added some needed information on this game. Feel free to put more gramar or links on information to what I said but please do not delete what I put. Please trust me when I say I do not put information that is not true. I can't put links to websites so maybe you might get suspicious but I don't know how to. I do not put information with the possibility that it could not be true. I may not be able to put links but if you could help me I'd be grateful. Also that was cool that someone finnaly payed attention to Raven and saw he was a playable character. I started to do it my self. Just remember GG2nd.com(official site gor GG2 Overture) says the patch was released in June 5th 2008. Also the things I added in about Daisuke Ishiwatari saying the new genre was 'Melee Action' I failed to put the link there but if you go to youtube and search Guilty Gear 2 Overture interview and watch the interview with Daisuke Ishiwatari. the playable characters I put are also correct. The other victory option on the gameplay is also correct I have the demo and if you don't let Sin proceed in lowering your masterghost or you don't lower Sin's the only way to win is to capture more Ghost. Also like I said I put the links for the modification for Overture but I don't know how to put links so people can click on them and see it's true if you can help me with that you'll see I can prove all but the fact of the Ghost capturing gameplay. my only reference to that is that you get the demo and do what I did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zekami (talk • contribs) 08:15, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Guilty Gear 2 Gameplay Edit[edit]

Hello I added tactics two the Gameplay sections that I beleive people should know about. It will give people a better understanding of what this game is all about.Go Ahead and fix my typo's IM TO LAZY TOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Answer to Zekami[edit]

Bomberman 64 rom download. All you have to do is copy the URL and past it on the link section.Tell everyone on this disccusion board to leave your imformation alone and post all the links. Then post later on that you added the links and to check them out.If you can't find the links tell anyone here to go ahead and delete your imfo. These are good disccusion skills.

By Everyone!!!!!Guilty Gear Freak (talk)

Zekami still gots problem[edit]

I still don't understand. When I put links it deletes the references so again if anyone can help me with the links go ahead. Also It may seem like spam but when you check the articles and you seee my name a thousand times(exaggerating!) its because I was trying to put links and didn't work out so well. Also if your going to help me with putting links go to the websites I put in the articles as reference(obviously no links, don't know how) and I will fix the gameplay article so you can seee the link I got that from. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zekami (talk • contribs) 10:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Alright bro thanks for the links. I added them so you don't have to worry. I hope now you get how to add them in so you can add them in the future. See ya!!!!!!!! Guilty Gear Freak (talk)

Even more Vandalism!!![edit]

Ok I noticed more vandalism today than usuall. Now this unknown person has the fake english voice actors for the realesed characters section. And also he changed the character description and name: I qoute Valentine was changed to London Valentine and Sin to Sin Beelzubub. Quote:Sin is a chef using a baseball bat as weapon.... I undid this false imfo because their was no link to this imformation. Who would do this???Guilty Gear Freak (talk)

Zekami Update[edit]

I have been uploading guilty gear 2 images with fair use(dosen't mean you shouldn't check to see if it's not) in the released characters section. These are all the released pictures for guilty gear 2 character. anyway my updates have been more recent and will show that I have uploaded 1000 times(exaggerating) so don't count it as vandilsm. I did not put the 2nd person view artwork because I'll be making a profile for those characters is because I feel those should be used for their profiles whenever there made. Howerver I am not the one who put pictures for the gameplay section. That was my brother Guilty Gear Freak . For the past seven days he has been looking hard for images that have fair use. This is just a notification.Zekami (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 03:38, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Update to Released Character Section[edit]

I just found proof that Valentine; Aria, is in fact Justice (but not the real Justice; a copy)and also learned the unknown character; Ky's love is the child of Justice and the Key that Valentine's looking for. Ylands download android. Due to the poor game translation I am not sure if Dizzy is the name of the Key. I also learned that Sin is also seen as the Key for having the Gear blood of the child of Justice and is therefore one of Valentine's targets. I also learned due to That Mans words their are more copys of Aria being made. I Learned this all from ACTUALL GAME TRANSLATION. Talk to me if you have any problems with it.Guilty Gear Freak (talk)

If it's not true don't put it[edit]

Ya know I wish yar kramar were back here.Things have been messy here with overture. I mean I ad information or images but with fair use or with truth behind them. .Guilty Gear Freak has been working very hard on translating the the story for GG2. but then people come in with english voice actors and changing imformation on references and released characters. I'm going to say this again that if there is any slight evidence your imformation could be wrong then don't put it please. If your so sure your right then put links.I and .Guilty Gear Freak at least put links to what are information is info. puting informaton on things that are not true are your opinions not really true. and if you vandalizers think Overture won't be coming out here than that tells me your not even researching, that just your putting your own thoughts and thats not what Wikipedia's about. It's about providing the right information about anything so it can also help other people out. Just think if this were an article of WWII instead. Someone needed to do a report on it or,think about you needing to do a report with false information obviously you'd get a U on it because Wikipedia gave you false information. Same thing your doing with Guilty Gear 2:Overture. And plus it's obvious that even on trailers Sin does not use a baseball bat do you think someone wouldn't see the trailer and not figure it out.Oh one more thing if your going to put english voice actors, why when I go to the voice actor it says nothing about the actor being in Guilty Gear 2:Overture or being one the characters in it,that proves that it's not true. And why would a Japanese game have english voice actors but not come out here? Just explain to me that.Zekami (talk) 18:36, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Even MORE VANDALES !!![edit]

Ok now I'm actally getting mad at this guy: Beem2. I'm sick of him taking out the release outside of Japan section. this section is all true but he feels the need to delete even when it is the most one of important imforamation their is for the article. Also 88.161.129.43 keeps adding obviously wrong info about the Released characters section. this person along with 96.247.32.90 and 70.48.127.4 have vandelized without any note or link to their info. This is not a threat but a warning to those I posted above. If you keep adding FALSE imformation without an eplaination I will report you to the board of Wikipedia for VANDELISM. Again not a THREAT but a WARNING just in case you misunderstand.Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 03:54, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

It certainly sounded like a threat, not a warning. Please remain cool and don't attack other editors. Beem seems to have been adding information about the US release (which you then removed here). One of the IP addresses seems to be the most persistent offender, I've reverted him/her just now. Thanks! Fin©™ 18:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. But Beem2 has been erasing data on the upcoming release date for U.S. and I have undid this several times wouldn't you say this is vandalism.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Guilty Gear Freak (talk • contribs)

Please show me a diff of the page where he removed info. Thanks! Fin©™ 09:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
You're mistaken. Please check your facts before accusing people. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 11:21, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Guilty Gear 2 Soundtrack Vol. 1[edit]

I have both soundtracks of this game and I listed them correctly so please don't erase this again. If you'd like me to show you the track listing from the game tell me. I may spell things wrong because I do not have my glasses on (their broken). I added info on the demo that was also erased, it may not be important but it should help people know their limits in the demo sense alot of veiwers get their info from Wikipedia.Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 23:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

I removed Vol 1 as it is just a list of indiscrimate information. It was essentially just a list of random words and is in no way useful to the average reader, essentially non-notable. The demo section was overly detailed which is to be avoided. Fin©™ 09:40, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok I get the demo part, but how do you know the soundtrack part is 100% true.I have it myself; I'll even give you a link to where I bought it from.(shows all songs but two which in the soundtrack are kanji). if you don't beleive me buy the soundtrack for yourself.Where I bought the disc, below the price info their is a track listing that resembles the EXACT same list in Vol.1 Cd I have, do not erase this again untill you know this is not the listing of the tracks. (Note: Same listing as the track listing on the cover of the disc)Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 10:23, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

You don't understand, I'm not saying the soundtrack listing is wrong, I'm saying it's not-notable. Please read the wiki article on it. Fin©™ 10:37, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, please stop reverting all of my changes if all you disagree with is the removal of the soundtrack. See what wikipedia is not for more rationale for its removal. Fin©™ 10:38, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about the reverting problem I accidentally do that. Your saying Vol.1 is not worth being on the page. Why is this??? Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 10:46, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Like I said above, I consider it non-notable, though it would also fall under 'list of indiscriminate information', something to avoid in articles. Please read this article for a description of notability and this article for a list of stuff not to include in articles. Thanks! Fin©™ 10:49, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok I get it thats not what I was trying to do. Thanks. Sorry about the misunderstanding.Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 10:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Image Removal[edit]

I removed Sol Badguy and Ky's pictures seeing how they all ready had profile pictures and they are not totally new. This reason is because it would be better leaving only the new characters.Guilty Gear Freak (talk) 10:31, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

External Links Gone[edit]

By deleting the external links I am under the impression that you believe my info is true and therfore you will only modify my work and updates so they have proper gramar. Again I put some external links on that section because I wanted to prove that it is true what I'm saying. It is only fair that you leave my info on alone seeing that you delete external links and those being my only source of truth over my editing and sense whoever did so seems not to need proof. Buy deleting external links you find links to information such as the interview with Daisuke Ishiwatari on Diginfo.com. Please say something before you change any info on GG2 so I know why I know I may be asking to much because on Wikipedia you shouldn't need to talk to someone before editing but please I beg of you talk on this page and tell me why you changed or deleted my info because I have no proof on the article, via the deletion of the external links. I would put them back on but it will end up being deleted again by the same user. If he could tell me why he's doing this I would be fine right now but it looks like I'll have to wait.Zekami (talk) 09:05, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

I deleted the external links per WP:EL and WP:VG/EL. Websites that are used as a source or reference should not be in the external link section anyway - they should be in the prose of the article, see WP:how to cite sources. Thanks! Fin©™ 12:34, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
