The Silver Case Trophy Guide
For The Silver Case on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Trophy Guide (for those in need of help)'.
Along the way, follow the missable trophies / achievements walkthrough to get everything in a single playthrough:. Step 2: Reload Your Save and Complete any Remaining Miscellaneous Trophies and/or Start a New Playthrough for Missed Side Quest TrophiesIf you didn’t get it all done prior you can reload your save now to before the point of no return.
Work on any kill/skill trophies and side content. Alternatively, for some of the side content you can start a new playthrough and rush through the story to get to the required spots on lowest difficulty. Only going for main story objectives you can get to the end of the game in about 3 – 5 hours, so any missed side quests aren’t a massive deal. Step 3: Complete the Game on Supernova DifficultyYour last step will be to complete the game on Supernova difficulty. It’s highly recommended leaving this until last so that you know the game very well and know how to progress, as you will want to optimize your story progress and avoid as much fighting as possible on this difficulty. Note About Missables:Due to the way this game is set up, all trophies except for the main story ones and completing the game are technically missable.
The game has a point of no return that it will warn you about (and prompt you to make a save before) and there is no post story play or NG+. Once you go to the final area you are stuck there, and even more so when you get to the final boss room you can’t go back in the location so can’t even kill more enemies at that point.
If you didn’t make a save before progressing to the final area you can get yourself entirely stuck and require that you start a new playthrough. Some potential flaws you can show up from specific sources are:. Plasma Weakness – Taking plasma damage. Acrophobia – Taking fall damage. Raptiphobia – Taking damage from RaptidsNot the Best ChoiceSimultaneously equipped Spacer’s Choice brand clothing, headgear, and 4 weapons. For this trophy you need to equip Spacer’s Choice branded clothing in both head and clothing slots, and all 4 weapon slots. The weapons you can find easy, most of them that you can find in the first area of the game (Emerald Vale) will be Spacer’s Choice brand.
Clothing is slightly harder to find though, and note that the Hibernation Suit you start the game in says it’s Spacer’s Choice but doesn’t actually count for the trophy. If you want to get this out of the way, you should be able to buy a Workers Outift and Mining Helmet from the Emerald Vale General Store in the city of Edgewater. Equip all 6 items at once to earn the trophy.Well DressedWore ‘A Nice Hat’ and ‘Chimaera’ at the same time.MISSABLEThis trophy requires you to obtain two items of clothing and wear them together. These two pieces of clothing are unique and only one of each exist in the game, so do not sell or dismantle them before you have earned this trophy.“A Nice Hat” can be found on Monarch in the Stellar Bay area. Head to South Ruins from in the city, and go to the first group of buildings.
You should find a ruined church in this area, and inside at the back you can find “A Nice Hat” on a skeleton against the wall.“Chimaera” is a piece of clothing you need to complete a side quest line for a woman in Byzantium for her to make for you. If you have Parvati’s companion quest at the step to get an outfit for her date the location will be marked on the map. If not, the store is on the South-West corner of the Prosperity Plaza area, named Jolicoeur’s Haberdashery. When you speak to her she’ll first want you to model 3 outfits for her: An Iconolast, Marauder, and Spacer outfit. Iconoclast is easy, you can get it from killing Iconoclasts on Monarch if they’re hostile, or buying from the Quartermaster in Amber Heights. Marauder armor can be looted off Marauder enemies on Monarch or Terra 2. Spacer seems to be a bit trickier, I believe it wants you to use Sublight Salvage type armor. I got it to work with a “Sublight Contractor Helm”, and then a “Safecracker’s Jacket” that I found earlier in the game and was holding onto due to its +10 lockpicking.
You might be able to find some actual Sublight armor for sale in Fallbrook from one of the vendors as that’s the main Sublight town. After you have modeled all 3 outfits she will ask you to collect some items for her. Raptidon Flank Hide and Mantiqueen Chitin can be found easily on Monarch near the Sulfur Pools area, as there are multiple of both enemy types wandering around there. Primal Leather can be found on Terra 2 in Edgwater or on Scylla where Primals spawn, there are a few locations for each you’ll likely have ran into by now. Once you’ve got the required number of each head back to Byzantium and speak to her again.Lastly she’ll ask you to go pick up an item for her she ordered to complete the outfit. Follow the markers around on a bit of a goose chase, then when you return to the store you’ll find that she has been killed by the UDL soldiers for some reason or another. Search her body to get her office key, then head in and grab the outfit off the table. You can now equip both “A Nice Hat” and “Chimaera” to earn this trophy.Level 30Character level 30 reached.Level 30 is the maximum level in the game that you can reach at time of the game’s release.
If you are actively doing all side quests possible as you play through the story and not avoiding combat you will likely earn this about 3/4 through or near the end of your playthrough.Anything for a FriendFinished a companion’s quest line. This trophy is awarded for fully completing one companion’s questline after they become a companion. The earliest you can fully complete a companion quest is when you’re able to go around Monarch. SAM doesn’t have a quest past his initial one to fix him but that doesn’t actually count for this trophy.Elemental MaelstromKilled an enemy that was hit with all 5 damage types. This trophy requires you to kill an enemy that has been hit with all 5 damage types. The 5 types are:.
Physical (no element). Plasa. Shock. Corrosive. N RayThe first 4 are fairly common, N-Ray isn’t though, the first N-Ray weapon I found was a unique one in Rizzo’s Lab on Monarch.
You can find mods for N Ray damage, but they are extremely uncommon.Once you have weapons of each damage type, you’re best finding a larger enemy that you can spend time hitting with each type of damage. Heavy armored marauders work, or any Mega creature on Monarch. You can do this by having your companions equip weapons of one or two of the damage types then do the other 3 yourself, or equip 4 yourself then switch to the 5th after you’ve used all 4 other types. Whichever way you choose to go, once you’ve hit an enemy with all 5 you can then kill the enemy and will be awarded the trophy. The enemy doesn’t need to be under the effects of any debuffs from the damage types when it dies, just needs to have been hit with all 5.Patient NKilled 20 enemies that were infected by spreading N-rays.N Ray is one of the 5 damage types available through the game. This is a sort of radiation effect, where enemies (or you) hit will it will experience a damage-over-time effect where waves will come off of them damage them and other enemies nearby, which will also spread the effect to them.
For this trophy you more or less just have to kill 20 enemies using N Ray weapons or explosive barrels. N Ray weapons are very uncommon, and mods for N Rays are very rare. The first N Ray weapon I found was in the Rizz-‘s Secret Lab area on Monarch which you go to for story reasons. In there is a unique launcher type weapon that shoots N Ray orbs that explode when they hit enemies. If you get this weapon you basically just need to kill 20 enemies using it to earn the trophy.SkilledRaised a skill to 100.Starting out you raise the entire category group of a skill-up until they reach level 50.
After that you must put points in individual skills, so you need to specialize yourself more. For this trophy you need to raise any one skill to it’s maximum unadjusted level of 100.Jack of All TradesKilled an enemy with a science weapon sneak attack during TTD, with a weakspot critical hit.For this trophy you need a few things. First you need to have sneak attacks unlocked by leveling your Stealth skill so that sneak becomes at least 20. You can raise the skill more to do increased damage, but 20 is the minimum required to actually do sneak attacks. You also need melee (two handed if you’re using the Primsatic Hammer) to 40 to unlock the ability to do TTD weak spot attacks. Then, you need to find a science weapon. These are unique weapons that can be found in the game, and their damage is based on your Science skill level. The first science weapon is on Groundbreaker.
Coming from the dock go past the security office then left into the room with the red containers, then right into the room with all the beds. If you jump on the boxes to get on top of the left side beds and go to the wall there is a small gap you can go through.Through this room will be a group of Outlaws and a large mechanical that you’ll have to deal with. After this, head to the right of the room where there is a door you use a keycard to get through. In this room you’ll find the science weapon Prismatic Hammer. This is a two handed weapon with some special effects on it. Now to finally earn the trophy, you must equip this weapon and kill someone with it using a sneak attack while TTD is active.
This appears to require doing it on an actual potentially hostile enemy. If you’ve not killed them the Outlaws in the Sub Level on the Groundbreaker will work, and if they’re not actively hostile to from paying off or persuading Captain MacRedd you can go behind one of the other guys and sneak them fairly easily. Get behind one and activate TTD, then aim for their head and swing at them. If you kill them in one hit you will earn the trophy.Well Balanced BreakfastSimultaneously had bonuses for meat, carbohydrates, sugary drink, caffeine, and alcohol. On your travels through the game you’ll find various food and drug items that you can pick up and use from your inventory. If you look at each item it will list what type they are, such as the 5 listed in the trophy description. To earn this trophy you need one of each of these types, then to consume them all at once from your inventory by holding to use them so that you have all effects active at once. When done correctly you will earn the trophy immediately, and if you look in the Character Details menu you should have 5 different Status Effects active corresponding to each food type like below.Mad ScientistKilled an enemy under the effects of 4 science weapons.Science weapons are a unique type of weapon that there are 5 of throughout the game.
They are unique in that they scale based off of your Science skill primarily, cannot be modded, but can be tinkered (and have their tinker price capped at a Science skill level of 80). They all have unique effects that can’t be found on any other weapon, so they can be useful to seek out. Early in the game there will be a side quest you’re given titled Weapons from the Void which will help lead you to their locations. For this trophy you need to kill an enemy while they are under the effect of at least 4 of the weapons. In my opinion this is the most annoying miscellaneous trophy in the game, as the effect time from the science weapons is relatively low compared to how long it takes just to switch weapons.
For this you should give one weapon each to two of your companions, then use the other three yourself. Change the companion behavior to only use physical or melee depending on which weapons you gave them, and set their behaviour to closely follow you and be aggressive. Find yourself a decently strong enemy that you won’t kill them before you can swap through all weapons (I earned it from a heavy armor Marauder on Monarch).
Kill other enemies near them first if there are others, then get ready on that enemy. You can probably wait for your two companions to start attacking them, then get in yourself. I’d advise doing the first attack normal, then activate TTD right away and switch weapons. Switching doesn’t drain TTD but attacking does, so if you do the first attack then switch you should be able to get two more attacks of using the other weapons before it runs out, which should prolong the time the enemy is affected relative to how fast you’re able to switch weapons. Cycle through to the third one, then kill the enemy using the third weapon (one of the two melee ones is best for the last one). If the enemy died while under the effect of at least 4 of the weapons you will earn the trophy.
If not then you will need to find another and try again. The Outer Worlds All 5 Science Weapon Locations:Prismatic Hammer – Groundbreaker, through a gap above some beds near the entrance area (see Jack of All Trades trophy for more description)Shrink Ray – Phineas’ Lab, on a table just to the right of the device you use to speak with him when he’s behind the glass.Mandibular Rearranger – Scylla, in a building on the East side of the area.Gloop Gun – Monarch Wilderness, in location UDL Lab. Get a keycard from upstairs to use the terminal, then hack it or answer with the following answers to open the gun container. Protect the Chairman, Berate him relentlessly, Arrest your spouse.Mind Control Ray – In Rizzo Secret Lab at the end of the area where you activate the terminal to get the Alta-Vitae gas, there is an elevator shaft with two platforms. Jump to them then up to the next area to find this weapon.Impossible MissionSucceeded at 3 dialog conversation checks with a single disguise. In certain areas of the game you’ll be able to travel into a restricted area with the use of a disguise.
While you have the disguise on you’ll have a bar on the lower part of your screen that drains as you move around. Once it’s drained all the way you can be spotted by enemies, then you’ll need to pass a speech check to get them to leave you alone, which uses one of the 3 charges and resets the bar to full again. For this trophy, you need to go through all 3 charges and 3 corresponding dialogue checks in one usage of the disguise without leaving and resetting it.
The speech requirement for each Persuade, Lie, and Intimidate will go up each time, with the third time requiring a skill level of 60 to pass the final check. If you want to get this out of the way, and easy place to do it is in the security office of the Groundbreaker. Save before entering the area just in case, then go in and sprint around in circles until the bar runs out and you get stopped.
Pass the speech check and repeat twice more. After the third speech check you’ll earn this trophy. All for OneCompleted all companion quests.MISSABLECompanion quests are unique side quests you can do for your companions which expand their backstory and potentially change their view. You need to do all of these in a single playthrough, so make sure to always accept companions joining you and don’t anger them or tell them to leave from the ship, or you won’t be able to do all of their quests.
Parvati – Edgewater, during Stranger in a Strange Land when you speak to Reed Tobson, agree to have her come along. This trophy and Monarch Abides are mutually exclusive, you can’t do them both in the same playthrough without using save backups. For this trophy after you’ve stopped the radio transmissions and got the info sent to Phineas or talked Hiram into working for the board a UDL ship will crash into the planet.
Go get the targeting module, then you need to talk Sanjar and Zora into working with each other for their own best interests. To have the Iconoclasts agree you need to have Zora overthrow Graham. To allow this to happen in the two prior quests you do for the Iconoclasts you need to side with what Zora wants, getting the extra food supplies from the smuggler, then getting the Twins back from the press instead of having them go in and help you. After that once you have got the targeting module you can speak to her again and she’ll ask you to get some mission logs, which leads to the discovery that Graham orchestrated the pirate attacks.
You then need to agree with her to overthrow Graham and kill him. You can then talk Zora into potentially working with Sanjar if you have 55 Persuasion, or other skills around that level.Sanjar can then be talked into working with Zora if you find her report from the Rizzo’s Lab in the same area you get the items for Sublight. You then talk them into meeting at the OSI church just outside the city, where you can basically give mostly neutral and encouraging answers to have them talk it out and agree to work together.
Once they do you’ll complete the quest and earn this trophy.Monarch AbidesWon the battle of Stellar Bay.MISSABLEThis trophy and Peace in Our Times are mutually exclusive, you can’t do them both in the same playthrough without using save backups. For this trophy after you’ve stopped the radio transmissions and got the sent to Phineas a UDL ship will crash into the planet. Go get the targeting module, then choose to give it to either Sanjar or Graham/Zora. You then ally with them to defeat the other faction. You’ll fight from whichever location you give the targeting module to to the other location and kill the other group’s leader just outside their area. As soon as the leader dies you’ll earn this trophy. If you’re aiming to avoid missables during a playthrough I’d recommend save scumming this trophy, then revert your save and broker peace between the two groups instead because that doesn’t result in any important NPCs dying.DentasticSaved the universe’s greatest diet toothpaste recipe.MISSABLEThis trophy is earned during the side quest The Doom That Came to Roseway by completing the quest a specific way.
You will obtain this quest when you’re on Groundbreaker by asking for other work. You will then head to the Roseway location on Terra 2 to answer a distress signal. A scientist tasks you with recovering the diet toothpaste research, and to earn this trophy you must get back the recipe and give it to him to complete the quest. During the quest you’ll run in to a bandit who has stolen the research out of his safe.
To get it from her you can either agree to help her then persuade her to give up the research after before she leaves, or just kill her and take it, up to you. Once you have it, you must give it back to Anton to complete the quest, if you lie to him and say you don’t have it or say you’re keeping it you won’t earn the trophy and need to redo the side quest in another playthrough.Mightier than the SwordSaved Edgewater permanently.MISSABLEThis trophy is earned in a way that requires making some specific choices during the game leading up to the point you earn it. It’s mutually exclusive of Ludwig was Right, but is something you can do with a save backup. For this trophy at the start of the game you need to choose to redirect power to Edgewater, then convince the deserters to return but not have Reed step down as leader. Through story progression you then need to ally with Sophia and the board by turning in Phineas, then once you have dealt with the radio broadcasts on Monarch Sophia will congratulate you on helping the town next time you see her. You don’t need to do anything else for this trophy past that, you are awarded it immediately before she asks you to head to the Hope.Ludwig was RightBrought robo-destruction to Edgewater.MISSABLEThis trophy is earned during the main story quest Foundation.
You can receive this quest if you choose to turn in Phineas and work with the board, and at the start of the game and redirected power in Emerald Vale to town. You can earn this using a save backup if you at first don’t convince Reed to step down. Proceed through thr story agreeing to work with the Board, and after you deal with the radio broadcasts make a save. Before going back and speaking with Sophia you can go to Edgewater and kill Reed, then go talk to Adelaide and get her to go back to town now that Reed is gone. You can now go speek with Sophia and she asks you to go to Edgewater and activate the Termination Protocol to have some robots kill all of the deserters. Once you have come back into the town and then cleaned up all the robots you will earn this trophy.A Star is BornStarred in an Odeon Pictures movie.MISSABLEThis trophy is earned by completing the side mission At Central which you can get when you first enter Byzantium. Once you enter the main area a man named Maverick Johnson will call to you, talk to him and agree to what he’s offering to receive the side quest.
Head over to the marked Odeon Pictures building then go upstairs to the marked area, then stand on the marked spot. You’ll go through some dialogue with the other actor, use your intimidate skills or just take the action sounding choices (I’d probably advise against shooting the other person). Once you’re done the scene go speak to Maverick again and you’ll complete this quest and earn the trophy. The CartographerDealt with the cartographer.MISSABLEThis trophy is earned during the main quest The Demolished Woman on Byzantium. To get this side quest you must attempt to turn in Phineas to the board through Udom Bedford. After getting his seal back from Gladys he’ll get you to go to Byzantium to meet Sophia Akande, who will then give you this main quest to prove yourself to her.Sophia asks you to “deal with” a cartographer named Rachel Lockwood. If you head to her office and break in, you can find out that she is hiding in the maintenance tunnels under Byzantium.
Head down there and “deal with her” however you see fit which will award the trophy. You can then return to Sophia when you’re finished to complete the quest.SunburnSkipped the Hope into the sun.MISSABLEThere are two ways you can earn this trophy. You either need to from the start of the game during character creation choose to lower your Intelligence stat to below average, or repeatedly use the Adrena-Time so that its withdrawal effect lowers your intelligence temporarily. Getting yourself to “below average” intelligence stat allows you to pick “Dumb” dialogue, which is a requirement for this trophy. Late in the game you will travel back to the Hope, which is the ship your character was awoken from.
When you reach the front of the ship you will need to skip it to whichever story destination you’ve been working towards, and can choose to do it yourself or let ADA do it. To earn this trophy you need to specifically pick the DUMB dialogue option after saying that you’ll skip it yourself. You will then be shown a cutscene wherein you send the ship straight into the sun, giving you a game over and awarding you this trophy. If you are using Adrena-Time to do this you can use one, wait for its effect to wear off and it’s withdrawal to start, then use another to stack another withdrawal which lowers your intelligence further.
As far as I know, there are three possible choices at the beginning of the game on Edgewater. You can divert power to Botanical Lab, you can divert power to Edgewater and convince Reed to step down, or you can divert power to Edgewater and leave Reed in charge. Now, Edgewater will not be brought up later in the story at all unless you side with Sophia and the board. If you stay loyal to Phineas, there is mention during the epilogue of what you did, but there are no trophies related to staying with Phineas, which is probably why this guide only covered siding with Sophia.says. I originally interpreted it as requiring melee, but now that you say that the description for sneak attack on level 20 stealth if I remember correctly does just say that it’s a sneak attack when you’re crouched and hit an unaware enemy. With low melee Jack of All Tradea might be hard because you need to one shot an enemy with one of the science weapons, and it’ll very likely have to be one of the melee ones since the guns don’t really do a lot of damage. You might be able to get it on a enemy in Emerald Vale if you try it right before the end of the game. Same deal with killing 50 enemies with the tossball items.Saltboy47 says.
For Xbox users, the achievements tab does track progress for ones with cumulative requirements. However, we noticed that progress doesn’t track in some instances, such as reloading a save to farm tossball kills.
I don’t know if PS4 users are having a similar issue, but here’s a solution if you want to get these achievements/trophies done relatively quickly:-Have your base requirements ready (tossball stick, dialogue skills, upgrade materials, etc).-Create a separate save before performing the action.-Perform the action (kill, persuade, upgrade).-Reload your initial save and save over it.-Rinse and repeat. For “Sunburn” you don’t actually have to start off with below average intelligence. You can have it as high as you want. If you do have higher than what you need to be able to pick “DUMB” options.Make sure you have “Andrena-Time” x by how many you are above below.I had good intelligence. Waited for the -1 attribute affect. Then used another. Then another.I had minimum intelligence and could choose the “DUMB” option. So feel free to have the highest of intelligence. Just make sure you have Andrena Times handy 🙂.
Hot tip i found useful for getting the kill / sneak trophies (Tossball All Star, Never Seen, We All Fall Down etc). When you get to Catherine at Fallbrook take up the quest ‘Slaughterhouse Clive’. When you get to the slaughterhouse take the sewer entry next to the building – below and left to the entry.
I f you cant lock pick you can just shoot your way through the building. Make a save as soon as you get up the ladder into the pig den and lower the difficulty to ‘Story’.
Now just crouch and and attack the 2 rows of boarst pigs with whatever you need for the trophies. Make a separate save so it counts the kills. reload the earlier save and rinse and repeat for the trophies needed.I found it helpful for the stealth kills and tossball stick kills. Not sure if anyone will read this but i found it easier by playing ‘Supernova’ 1st playthrough and do all trophies beside Flawed hero until the end and doing last 2 trophies, Ludwig was Right and Sunburn on ‘Story’ (easiest difficulty) during 2nd playthrough. (30-50 Hours)2nd Playthrough can be done in 20-30 MINUTES and require character build be have Below average intelligence and dialog skill ‘Lie’ to be 65. (Google ” The outer worlds speed run”, i watched this speed runner youtu.be/3ypaLWPtiLA )Tip: In between auto mech legs there is a blue light, that it is their weakspot.
As such it introduces not only the four distinctive seasons but also several new season-related events and activities for your Sim to participate in. The sims 3 seasons. It was released in 2012 and it is the eighth big expansion pack, this time focusing on features that revolve around the seasonal changes.
(Ludwig was Right). Anyone understood how quick saving/loading influence trophy progress? I’m trying to get the “never seen” achievement.
If you quicksave right before an enemy, stealth kill him, the achievement progress will rise by 2%, but then if you quickload and stealth kill him again (or any other enemy near him) it won’t register. Seems like I have to find a completely another group of enemies before it start to count again. Is there like a timer after a reload before it starts registering achievements progress or something?
All For One HELPPP!I cant seem to get felix’s quest, i killed lockwood now he’s being a snowflake about it and won’t prompt me.Suggestions from youtube/reddit i have tried, but didnt work:reload to a save and let lockwood live — he said i’m honorable but i still cant get his questkeep playing the game and talk to him inside and outside the ship every chance i getif i start a new playthru (or start from a super early save) and complete his quest, will i get trophy if i’ve completed all other companions? I’d rather not have to do it all again.Thanks. When you get your dialogues skills up high enough, and progress further into the game, you should get a dialogue option with him to basically “fix” his opinion of with you by making him like you again. I should add that this DID NOT appear while I was on the ship. It appeared about 80% of the way through my story.
You might have to have the board angry at you since he despises the board, but I can’t confirm that (it was the case for me).
