In real life, one eye will see what is blocked by the pole for the other eye and visa versa. Well, unless you only have 1 eye. Still, if you onlyhave one eye, you would be able to move your head to look past it when needed.Since this game is supposed to simulate reality, the pole should be removed, as that partsimply cannot be simulated in an acceptable way in 2D.Cheers:).
